It seems to me that the gas producers could get more bang for their price-collusion buck if they pushed the price up before the storage data is released then ride the price down with the rest of us rather than fighting against the data, but I'm sure they have their reasons.

Anyway, more money for the rest of us when we short from here.

I realize caution must be kept when testing historical lows, and doubly-so in light of that nonsensical gain on Thursday, but with this latest find of a 210 trillion cubic feet reserve of natural gas in B.C. in addition to the seemingly daily finds in practically every oil-producing country in the world, the only thing that will keep natural gas prices from continuing to fall is someone leaking just how toxic the carcinogens in the fracking fluid are followed by governments actually doing something about it.

...and given how the industry has successfully lobbied to have itself excluded from environmental legislation I'm not sure that's even much of a concern.

Just read your thread and had a feeling, that I should try trading natural gas. But on the cent account first, because I'm not sure if I'll be able to trade successfully. Can anyone advice any strategies?

The NATGAS is in a offert zone (2.725-2.651), in the zone is a MAHIGH 10 of the monthly TF, this is a possible pullback of the bullish trend in the commoditie.

Thank you for sharing your analysis jhonnel89! Are you purely a technical trader?

It looks like the global coordinated stabilization task has been met!

Global petroleum prices are balancing back to what they were Friday, before the S.A. strike.

It only took 3 days lol!

Hello C8H18, yes, I am technical trader, I use BBMA strategy, in this case I try to draw zones of supply and demand, in the zones I try to find confluence with the MAHIGH and MALOW to do a reentry, in this case, how I explain before, the NATGAS in in a supply zone with a MAHIGH of 10 monthly, I am not sure that the trend is going to change, but a pullback have sense.

Thank you for the follow up, thorough explanation and your take chief!

I think you're right from a fundamental standpoint... we'll see if prices dive even more because of the "emergency" overcompensation of supply. I heard the US didn't even have to tap into their reserves..

Thank's again jonnel89!

Great thread here.

I have to say I am still holding on to the LONG bias for this for now. My avg position is 2.40, so I figure it would have to reach that area before I would admit defeat.

I know it just hit the that patch of resistance. But momentum would suggest this is just a correction again a weekly up-move. Although the COT report is showing large speculators as net short, it does seem like they are reducing each week as the run up continued. Also, weather reports are suggesting a possible long winter, A 'polar coaster' it's being called.

So there could be above average consumption potentially..
