{quote} Very Good Points DM, Hopefully OAP Dave can answer. Also if you are using your own settings, wouldn't that show different levels for each trader, unlike Daily Pivots which would be exactly the same ? Please don't go into delete mode.

As I have just replied
Yes all fair points
But as traders don't we have that very same problem with
Pivots
Daily
Weekly
Monthly
Even 4hr
M/Averages of all descriptions and lengths
all we can do
is either back test or forward test and use our eyes
not forgetting
risk /reward and hours available to actual trade (part time full time
if we could crack that
we have the Holy Grail

OK, I'm presuming u shorted from the 1/8th overshoot back to "ultimate resistance"? And if that made the daily bread then that's great..I say well done.
Did you take the short at 1/8th overshoot due to stats u have..or price action at that level?

Short answer is No. Experience is the best teacher I agree.

Pivots should all say the same levels, there are variations on the type of calculations used, but generally not a great big difference in levels drawn.

I don't look at anything longer than Daily Pivots, too much information can also be unhelpful IMO.

Reversals occur not because of MML or Pivot Lines, but because of underlying Market Structure, which takes a lot of Screen time to learn,

there is No Magic Bullet or HG Indicator that will give you the keys to the Bank.

Well that's it guys
We all have our own methods
its our own money
so if we win Great
If we lose, its our own fault

I respect every guy and their chosen method that even attempts to trade

I truly believe there are a number of different ways to make/lose a few bob from the market or else they would be no market to trade

Math or NoMath, the price is always in a box. It's up to us to define the box, see the box, and trade the box, by whatever means that we are comfy with.

Week started excellent,,,,,then Weds was in the toilet all losses with one good one that wiped out Mon Tues gains.... and piss poor executions and mgmt of trades ,,i f there was an error to be made I made it lol.. Thurs came back just over scratch for the day but that was fine.. Today back on my game with some heavier shorts in Oil and Dow. Back in positive for the week both the account and my psychological account... Fed all the backyard critters and now a really big raccoon showed up chowing down on my generous dowsing of peanuts. 3 crows screeching...

Case in point. One had to wait until 3:53pm for a Dax trade after US open - Price only then migrated down and broke the "Kevin" box for a short - finished at 4pm today when price hit the Prev High. Waiting pays off but I still sneaked in a lost via impatience earlier rather than waiting for reactions at pre drawn levels. Lesson learnt

Week is over. A new one ready to begin.

The market seems to like targets. And we all have our own faves which is great.

Bottom line of course is How we trade them.
And that is a whole new storyline just in itself hahaa

Enjoy the two days break. Back on Monday.
Trade well, trade safe all.
