I have created multiple journals on this site. Some with charts, some simply showing my weekly results.
As I am currently taking a part-time degree in Finance, and as a new year's resolution, this journal would be to log my new progress in the coming years. This journal also serves as one of the fresh starts I am looking to take after getting my account out of a 3 year negative profit run, only recently clearing that profit up last year. I am currently up around SGD$4,000 after deducting my unrealized losses.
My aim has always been to build the account slowly. However, since I am looking to buy a car soon, and car prices in Singapore are exorbitant, I have decided to have a target of SGD$1,000 per month as a start.
To make things fun, I have also decided to add a goals list and I will update my profits periodically. I do have a fresh trade explorer running now, but due to privacy reasons, I will not be sharing it. In due time, I may consider doing so.
Goals:
$500/month
$1,000/month
$1,500/month
$2,000/month
$3,000/month
$5,000/month
$7,500/month
$10,000/month
Life Targets:
2nd hand Mazda 3
1st hand Mercedes C Class
Apartment
In addition to the above, I have decided to use this journal as a form of resume for future work purposes.
I currently have high interest bank accounts in Singapore that I use for my savings and regular expenditures.
In addition to Forex, I have opened a brokerage account that will do Dollar-Cost Averaging with my excess funds.
I am constantly sourcing for new ways to place my excess funds to ensure I make every single cent of my wealth work hard for me.
I am open to opinions, suggestions, clarifications and of course questions.
As a new year resolution thread, it is 7 days late. But better late than never.
Cheers to a fresh start!
