DislikedI have seen here on Forex Factory of people saying Oanda trades against its clients. However, that is apparently not true. I went to the Oanda website and I found out that they do not trade against their clients. I will copy and paste below an excerpt from their website (I put it all in bold below) : Does OANDA trade against its clients? While some firms may take on exposure in the market on the gamble that their clients are going to make losing trades, OANDA aggregates exposure and hedges it with our partner banks. We are likely one the most conservative...Ignored
Quoting JibalaPasanDislikedHello, I am with Oanda US. But to tell you the truth, I can not recommend them as a good broker! Oanda is a market maker, one of the worst bucket shops out there in that business. We've collect lots of materials against them, screenshots, tick data, videos, all showing how they cheat their clients! I am still with them since I am from the Philippines and we are limited in our choice! The only thing I can suggest, make a demo with them and watch how they do stop hunting, widening spreads for no reason and sometimes you will see prices much different from real market price. And when it comes to news time, they just cut the lines and you stay without connection! If after all you come to the conclusion I told you some bullshit, feel free to open an account. But you better go for any reliable ECN broker with low spreads and no commision!Ignored
Disliked{quote} And you still believe that babies are brought by the stork! I dont know how many times I was aksed about my broker, therefore I'm using a template already. {quote} Best example from my trading this morning: {image} Not one order has been executed and on some TP has been triggered already! How do you feel if this happens? Great start in the week, diba? Go Oanda go to hell!Ignored
DislikedCurrently looking at a 5.1 pip spread on GBPJPY on Oanda and a 1.6 pip spread on a demo account with FXCM. ?????Ignored
Disliked{quote} What I'm seeing is different than you. I'm currently looking at a 5.0 spread on on GBPJPY live Oanda account and a 4.5 pip spread on a FXCM demo account.Ignored
Disliked{quote} No, it's both (java platform and mt4) running! But mt4 is not running smoothly, something is wrong with Oanda. JibalaIgnored

Disliked{quote}the only retail broker who can compete with FXCM new spreads are INTERACTIVE BROKERS other then that FXCM has crush the competition on spreadsIgnored
Disliked{quote} Not really! All they did was to align their prices with other brokers. Their spreads shrunk but they are charging commission. At the end of the day you will pay around 1.2 pips ( just do the math) on the EUR/USD which is in line with oanda and others. I guess they were losing customers charging 2.5 pips on this pair.Ignored
DislikedI see some discussion on Oanda spread here. While I am not too happy at their recent disconnection problem, I think Oanda still have my vote as a preferred broker for FX. If you think Oanda is a joke, you have not met the real joker yet. This joker broker (which I will not name here) offers very GOOD spread, and for that matter, they charge commission on top of the spread. HOWEVER, every time, AND I MEAN EVERY TIME without fail, when you trade hit (SL) stoploss, there will be no slippage. But when your trade hit TP, there will ALWAYS...Ignored
