Hi, this is basically a takeoff from the SWB Martingale in this thread here. Since most of the strategy has already been kicked around in that thread, I thought I would use this thread to further develop and improve the EA. And, since I'm the one who made most of the modifications in the other thread and, I expect to continue doing so (time permitting of course ), I though it would be nice to move all the development stuff over here. That way, if there are any new updates to the EA, they can be included in the original post which, you can do if you originate the thread. So, now everything is more centralized and folks don't have to look all over to find the most current version of the EA.
Now I'm not saying you can't further discuss any strategies here, on the contrary, just that you might want to peruse the other thread first. Okay?
Since the "stealth" feature was driving most of the interest in the other thread, I decided to cut out most of the unrelated code and am now calling it the SWB Stealth. So far I've included the modifications in versions 4.1.0.3 and 4.1.0.6 (set tp_averaging to true in new EA), and am considering adding some of the other modifications, specifically the hedge option and some of the global close and suspend controls. Basically I'm starting over from scratch, but intend to make a focused and consolidated effort out of it.
I've also added a couple of new features, plus fixed the problem where the trades weren't closing when they were supposed to, which was due primarily to multiple charts being open at the same time I believe. I now have it setup to close orders based upon information specific to each chart, as opposed to overall Account Equity, which should take care of it.
I've also added a Power Lots feature, which determines ratio between account balance and lot size, and increases (or decreases) lot size and profit targets as account balance grows. It's sort of like compounded interest on a savings account, and makes it that much quicker to double the account size. To enable it, set power_lots to true ... and, to insure it works properly, set open_charts to the number charts/pairs you have open. Set it to any number greater than "1" on any chart. To disable it, and set everything back to "1" (default), set oc_reset to true, again, on any chart. I haven't actually checked whether the (global) set and reset feature works or not but, it should.
I also added another feature, trade_1_factor, which allows you to adjust first trade based upon percentage of tp_in_money target. Typically since you want it to be smaller (or, maybe not?), you enter a value less than 1.0. For example, if you set it to 0.25 and have tp_in_money set at $5.00, it will set first_trade to $1.25. Does that make any sense?
Am also adding another feature which allows you to scale tp_in_money target up and down, depending on the trade level but, it's not fully incorporated and I haven't added the scale down portion yet. Perhaps in the next day or two?
Oh well, I guess that's about it for now. If you're interested in looking at the code, the parts I added and/or modified are followed by two dashes and two stars, or ... // **
Have fun!
ETA: EA wasn't working after adding modification before posting ...
In case anyone is interested, there is new multi-time frame RSI version (below), which includes indicator. Follow the link for details.
