DislikedHi Bleek, is there any way I could contact you privately? Regarding brokers not your trading system. Kind regardsIgnored
DislikedA fleeting glance at this thread and another titbit of information - I know it's frustrating.
I rarely trade in the afternoon or evening but last night after 10 seconds looking at the chart I saw a sitter, I was 100% sure (call me a fool all you like) I knew in which direction the market was headed and even to the pip where it would stop and I should take profit.
Take a look at a 5m cable chart from 1700 GMT last night, I took a short at 1.5649 and profit at 1.5586. 50 full size lots, $500 per pip.
I was a few pips either side of perfect...Ignored
DislikedNice one but I don't think I see what you see. You did say you plot stuff off chart which may involve other markets... but if this was based solely on the chart, I suspect it involves a "feel" you have for the market. Anyways, 49 is just about the low of the "congestion" up there, 86 is just about the high of the previous Asian session, we did have a lower high in the "wave" before you entered, the market had gone up sharply and was just kind of ranging, kind of hanging mid air and it was likely to break one way or the other, it did look like...Ignored
QuoteDislikedPrice exhaustion is key here, think about what that means and why it happens; hence my contrarian approach with S/R levels.

DislikedI use a method I've developed called 'constipation and fill™' which looks a little like a sudoku puzzle, it's a chart of price activity over the hour, the highs, the lows, the 'volume' of trade at prices across the grid etc.
I can tell, from a glance, where price is likely to stall, break and target. It's pretty accurate... perhaps I should write a book!Ignored
DislikedWell to be honest although I've heard the term bandied about, I don't recall ever explicitly learning about price exhaustion. But I suppose price exhaustion would be (when price is moving up) buyers exiting without sufficient new buyers entering. In this case price had moved up quite a lot around 09:30. Buyers from that move up exited during the range which lasted most of the (London) day. New buyers entered in the "support" area of the range, sellers entered above 5650. Not sure where exhaustion comes into this, but I'm thinking that as buyers...Ignored
