I'm demo testing Interactive Brokers' platform, and when i put in market orders, they'll be filled with spreads of 10 pips on average (even for EURUSD wich usually has a spread of 0.5-1 pip)! By the way, i was executing it through IDEAL PRO, so spreads should be low.
Is this how it's supposed to be? I hope it only happens in demo accounts, this is very weird.
edit: by the way, i have another question, what does "Buying Power" mean in the Account window, i see that the number is determined by multiplying the total value of the account by 3.33. So if my account has 10,000 my buying power is 33,333.00. But this has nothing to do with margins available for Forex has it?
