Okay i am under the impression that most notable traders do not put much of their money with their brokers.
Say i have 100,000k to trade with.
My risk is 3% per trade.
And my stops are variable, but is at max 100pips, min 50pips.
I have a max of 10 open positions at one time, 30% max exposure.
And my broker allows me a margin of 100:1.
With this i work out that,
My margin per contract is 1k,
i can play a min of 3 contracts per trade max of 6 contracts, depending on my stops
So my margin per trade is abt 3-6k.
I have max 10 open positions at a time which works out to be min of 30k to max of 60k. So i'll place abt 70k, instead of 100k with my broker. I wonder, if thats what all of us here do? Or
Does anyone use all their trading equity and dump it with their broker?
