Financial markets are highly supervised and controlled by governing entities. That's why market appears on the chart the way it does.Ignored
Hi Jason,
Your posts are designed to help others, and I know this as I have been assisted by you in the past when you encouraged me some time back
to look much deeper myself into the maths aspect of chart behaviour and the well controlled expansions of price, both upper & lower.
With threads of course it is quite noticeable folks who read posts often wish to just know where to enter (exactly) and in what trade direction (of course).
These are the very things though, that most properly minded traders do not show specifically.
As that is NEVER the purpose for the BEST future learning by the reader.
(and keeping in mind also that everyone, poster & reader, are always continuing their own daily learning process).
The main purpose I took from all your excellent charts BW is captured in that last line your post above. Your charts are a great example of this supervision.
Our markets are well controlled, and MUST BE, especially at two specific points every day the open and the close.
But what happens inside those two points is where we must all trade.
Which then becomes the dilemma and the problem that every trader faces when deciding what to trade, and from where to where.
And inside that again each trader is also controlled by their own life behaviour & patterns which can be both a blessing or a restriction.
(and includes our ego as BW mentioned, which is often when we think we KNOW everything now, especially in what the market will do
- while we can only ever know what is possible for the market to do).
Once a trader begins their journey to understanding the REALITY of the controlled environment we trade in, then the trades themselves become second nature in action, but realistically might take a lifetime for full comprehension & control by each of us.
The message for each new trader from all of us, Andy, Kev, Bw, myself & many others who post has been the markets are well controlled
but NOT manipulated (just imho)
(as the word manipulated might encourage any trader into thinking they are a VICTIM of the market,
when we are really only ever a victim of own limited thinking, which prohibits our own self generated endeavours).
You have broached INTENT again Jason, and many including myself have listened & stretched our own thoughts into what that can mean on the charts, cheers.
(When we then trade, and whichever WAY we trade ie, Position playing, Swing trading, Scalping etc, then the metric we use to establish our current understandings of the markets are the results of our trades. And maybe we should each of us not be too hard on ourselves regarding our results, as when we choose to continue to trade they are merely stepping-stones to our future understandings of market complexities and hopefully success).
Thanks again BW
