I will make a list: top 100 best indicators.

So please upload good indicators in this thread.

Good indicators are considered:
- stimulating your perspective in the market
- any trader should know about and should have seen at least once
- getting inspiration for your own system
- (naturally, I don't consider a good indicator: profitable in trading. The purpose of this thread is solely increasing our mindset and depth in the market by applying different kind of indicators.)

Can we get 100 indicators on here and then find someone to make an EA out of them, and then add a couple more indicators just to make sure, and then waste 6 months testing, adding, removing and adding some more indicators only for the thread to die and everyone lose hundreds of pounds because they are too lazy to learn how to trade and expect an indicator or 20 to be the Holy Grail.
FF has over 10.000 indicators. If we reduce this to a top tier list, we can all benefit from it.

Hi, imho getting just 100 indicators that many agree to be top 100 will be really difficult. Just like ramzam mentioned, he has made an amazing thread containing and categorized a lot of indicators. Thank you very much ramzam

Just some things to think about:
-Who/ how will you decide which are worthy of top 100?
-Will you include the basic ones ( Lines, MA's, RSI, stochastic and bolinger bands)? what about all of their derivative indicators?
-How will you rate the indicators that require actual thought and understanding to use? ie. spotting divergences and so on...

I nominate zigzag indi, TSR line, Any ATR indi and some of mladen's indicators are pretty cool.

Yes let’s nominate all repainting indicators here, that gives a awesome breed.

As Londonboy wrote. When you don’t see that you can’t pick an indicator without having more vital stuff for your trading then you have no idea how to trade and for sure will loose money in the long run.

Focus on risk and money management. Control you emotions fear and greed. Analyze your trades and setups over and over again.

maybe you use indicators to get a quick overview but you should never use them alone to decide when to trade.

For me another thread where all the collectors (ramzam is the king of indicator collectors and beggars for new indicators) stop by and download and upload all the stuff nobody really needs.
Please focus on the real stuff that brings you further and not on fancy calculations of past prices.

I recommend to focus on classical indicators which survived trial of time. My favorite is Stochastics.

First I'll categorize the good ones: indicators as trading manager, checking overbought/oversold levels, trending market, ranged market, etc. It's not so much the numbering/ranking of the list, but more about filtering the good ones out 100s of indicators. This will reduce the time for all of us, instead of spending 3 years plouting in 99% bad indicators and 1% good indicators.

Ok I'll bite off the first chunk...
Here is an indicator that I have been using for 1 month. I got it from the "New Dawn" thread.
Here is the result so far. I am using 1% of an $11,000.00 demo. I set 2 trades (sharing the 1%) first trade is 2:1 second is 5:1 the 5:1 is set to BE when the first trade closes. All are Daily TF but could work on any.
