I still struggle with the idea that somehow an intraday trader is not a real trader as so many here at FF push the longer swing and position trading styles. This is something i must get a handle on over time. My simple model usually sees about 3 trades of aprox 20 to 30 chart-pips, trading two or three of the majors a week.

I agree - I would think that most traders on this forum would be more than happy with a model that produces 3 trades per week at 20 - 30 pips per trade.
Walk onto the trading floor of a bank - some traders are definitely intraday and others are position traders. BOTH are real traders and if both have profitable models then the bank is more than happy to reward them with nice fat annual bonuses!
