Dear ForexFactory members,
After trading CFD contracts for over 1,5 years via Plus500, I finally have covered all my previous losses and am becoming very decently profitable. You could guess that I am more than happy about that. As a so called ''first world problem''; My withdrawels are becoming quite big, at least for me as a student who trades just to make some extra money. I am certain that the banks will in the near future ask questions where this money comes from. Therefor I would like to prepare myself for filing taxes in 2017 and have the following questions; Please also answer it if you live in any other european country, as many have similar systems anyway.
What type of tax are you paying? (In holland its a tax on net worth i think)
What is the tax rate?
How did you decide on the amount that should be taxed?
Should you file your current account balance, or equity, as part of your wealth, or should you not as this is money that is still at risk?
Any other notable things?
Thank you very much if you can help me.
I will probably will have to call the tax authorities in holland, but i would like to prepare.
