Hedge WTI and Brent Oil

I am testing out hedging OIL WTI with OIL BRENT
Either BUY WTI AND SELL BRENT OR SELL WTI AND BUY BRENT

Either way it will make profit but which one? Any indicators that can help on this? Currently I have a BUY on WTI and SHORT on BRENT and winning
wonder if there is any logic behind this?

from 2012 historical data, WTI usually cheaper than Brent average spread Brent-WTI is about $10-$13, with low-high spread $0-$23, now spread between Brent-WTI is $1-$2, if u want play on oil spread trading it's now the right time to enter, buy Brent and sell WTI
