Hello everyone,
Over the weekend I had a long position in the USDJPY. Lucky me
The opening price was clearly above my take profit, so it should have been closed immediately.
I did not receive any price updates from my broker until 5 minutes after open, and thats when my position was closed at market price.
I sent the broker an email asking them to check what happened, and their reply was, that they do not fill orders right at market open, to protect their clients from high volatility moves.
Is that something you guys are aware of? To me it sounds like a load of bs
Another thing: Why can't we modify orders when the markets are closed? Say I would have wanted to move that take profit even higher. I don't see a reason why the market should be open for that.
Greetings,
Barrett
