Good day to all. After years of studying the markets, and months upon months of demo trading, I finally feel that I am now ready to trade real money. I am choosing to open a mini account with ODL securities, just to see if I blow up or not before committing real amounts of money. However, I'm sort of leery of the fact that they require me (or rather, probably just for the sake of expediency and convenience) to email my scanned requirements (identification, etc. etc.). I'm not sure if I'm being a bit paranoid, but I would merely like to confirm whether or not this is standard operating procedure when opening forex accounts. This is the first time I'm opening a real account, and I wouldn't want to have unpleasant experiences coupled with the opening of my first account. I mean, it's better to be safe (and make sure first) than be sorry later on. The email address of the ODL representative seems real enough though. I'm just trying to make sure that everything is in order, and I'm not giving personal details to possibly unsavory characters. Thanks in advance for possible advice/ answers.
