Hi, looking for a broker that is best suited to scalp and allows trading in US.
In other words, criterion are:
-fast execution/high liquidity/fast order fills
-little to no restrictions on scalping (difference between current price and SL/TP, etc.)
-low spreads
-minimum slippage
-minimum probability of requotes/stop hunts/other ways to intervene trades
-fast and reliable withdrawals/deposits/customer service
I did some research and still can't quite figure out whether ECN's or STP's are unquestionably better than market makers/dealing desk brokers, and how to know who is a market maker and who is not. I also read some people's opinions that ECN's are best for scalpers and that MetaTrader 4(MT4) was only dsigned for dealing desk and thus ECN is not really compatible with MT4.
I avoid trading during news so if there's slipage/spikes or other problems mostly only during news, it shouldn't be much of a problem for me.
So far I consider following firms:
Oanda
pros: seems to be popular and low minimum deposit requirements
cons: apparently is a Marketmaker
IBFX
pros: been trading with them on demo for quite a while
cons: marketmaker, bad NFA record
MB trading
pros: heard good feedback, low spreads
cons: charges commisions
Alpari UK/US
pros: heard a lot of good feedback on Alpari UK
cons: heard little good feedback on Alpari US and I'm in US
Dukascopy
pros: located in Switzerland, claims to be ECN
cons: in my opinion their platform is not quite user-friendly
FXMC
pros: claims to be ECN, one of the largest brokers
cons: heard some bad feedback
GFT
pros: seems to be one of the largest brokers
cons: low functionality of the platform Dealbook
Iamfx
pros: low spreads, free VPS
cons: seems to be pretty new to market and unknown on FF, Marketmaker
FXcbs
pros: low spreads and claims to be ECN
cons: website seems outdated, uses MT4 despite claiming to be ECN
ACM:
pros: located in switzerland
cons: average spread
Fastbrokers:
pros: low spreads, claims to be ecn
cons: didn't hear much about them, charges commisions
Forex.com
pros: Gain capital is one of the largest firms
cons: heard some bad feedback
London Capital Group (LCG)
pros: has access to currenex platform
cons: unclear account requirements, didn't hear much about them
Looking to get some advice for experienced traders who had real trading experience with any of listed above firms or who can provide credible and not outdated feedback on those, or recommend other broker.
Thank you.
