Hello Folks,
I'm playing around with programming and back testing.
What bothers me is that MT4 uses the last known spread for a currency. Since my broker has variable spread, my results with the same settings differ quite a bit (same settings for the EA).
As far as I found out, the spread information is stored in the "symbols.sel" file.
My question:
How can I put a spread value - let's say 2 in this file, so that my back testing is always using the same spread? I want to get the same results all times.
My history data is M1, accuracy on the tests is always 90%.
My platform is MT4, Build 226.
And yes, I know that I can highly vary results, using different spread. But in my case I just want the same conditions for every test, even if in real life the spread will vary.
Thanks.
MikeFT
