I've heard many reporters call him by that moniker, even one lady from the BBC, I think it was either Sally Nugent or Victoria Derbyshire.

He just smiled back, must happen to him a lot.

I suppose with his pay and pension package and the politician thick skin requirement, the odd slip of the tongue, relating to the pronunciation of his name, bothers him little.

Mechanics of the market at work tho always...Me nope... My local Walmart is out of Peanuts...

Ms Bullock said there were several clear signs that inflation was being domestically driven and threatening to remain elevated for too long.
First, she said recent price rises were broadly based, not just concentrated in rising prices for petrol, electricity and rents.
"If we look across the CPI basket, around two-thirds of items have inflation running above 3 per cent — indeed, often a long way above that number," she observed.

"Hairdressers and dentists, dining out, sporting and other recreational activities – the prices of all these services are rising strongly," she noted.



Barbers & dentists and dining out and sporting activities are what the RBA notes are causing Australia’s determined inflation.
(NOT the cost of electricity & fuel & housing etc )

Hang on, you go to the barber's maybe once every 6-8 weeks & dine-out properly maybe once a month,
yet might use electricity & fuel probably 'each" day ?

Still, lucky our reserve bank have it all worked out, they will fix it for us for sure.

The markets can offer something for us in pips.
They can offer us MORE or they can offer us less.
I have a set idea of what I wish daily, and am happy then to bail out from watching & just do something else for a few hours until Franky arrives.
No fomo (and only just a little greed lol )

GJ has only done 350 points on the ADR so far. Doesn't matter. Each to their own from here, up or down.

I can be quite easily satisfied with what the market can provide.
+20p is just over my day expectations.

Each trader though may trade with a differing vision but no doubt we are all trading for one thing. TP, Take Profit


Whether we trade on a bigger concept view of … ‘where the market is going NEXT’
For massive pips
Or a more current view of … ‘where the market is going just NOW’
For more modest pips
It doesn’t really matter too much as long as TP is our firm goal

With TP as purpose, then ‘how’ we each trade the market should be based only on what suits us best.
Our own disposition, our own risk parameters & our own session timing availabilities.


Maybe post-London Open gives up another shot at it today, GJ has only moved a total of 53 pips so far.
So it’s hard for me to say until the time comes and the market starts flowing.
But I don’t like giving any back once achieved.

If nothing more shows for my more modest style of trading then I’ll be back again to see what Friday serves up.
Trade safe (as first, maybe), and then trade well.

Quite a different end to the day for GJ yesterday.

The swap holders from New York Open didn't want to take price higher (after that zoom up on the Red News Flash PMI 3 hrs earlier).

'Twas a Bank Holiday in USA (and Japan) so likely the reason as you don't often see the whole of the NY Session in a tight 24 pip inflection point lock.
Or maybe the big move caught a few by surprise, who knows.
The market moved so quick it left a few gaps open on 'both' my live a/c's so it's not just a one LP price feed issue I don't think, we shall see.

I'm in no hurry to trade this morning. Let the market work itself out from yesterday.
With both Pound & Yen news up in about an hour from now also.

A Freaky Friday ahead, who knows ???

Quite a few people coming into Forex trading from Stock trading get hung up on Risk Reward and Win Rates,
without understanding that individually those 2 metrics are meaningless on their own.

You have to combine the 2 bits of information and caculate the Risk of Ruin or the viability of your trading method over a reasonably large enough sample. Your average $ winning trades and your average $ losing trades has to be taken into account.

Risk of ruin is defined as a probability of a specific loss from the original balance, ie if you started with $1000, calculating a risk of ruin of 40% would tell you the probability to lose 40% of your balance or $400. As the equity grows, the risk of ruin decreases.

There are many free calculators available if you need to know this.
