I'm not sure it's possible to have a "new" gold, because gold gets its value from being so old. If our great-great-great-great-grandfathers wore rings made of bitcoin, then I might believe it's the new gold.

I don't think this will amount to much, and it looks like the market agrees. If the SEC thinks the ETF's underlying can be manipulated, they aren't going to change that stance anytime soon. I personally don't see how they think this manipulation ...
