Traders have realized that Freddie and Fannie isn't new news - this was expected to happen (because when was unknown so a little reaction) - gaps are being closed now to resume the trends in place and people who got stopped out because of the gaps ...

we could see close to 195 today reasons: 1 - last trading day of the month - vanillas/options expiry 2 - risk aversion seems to be the theme because JPY, CHF, Gold are the only 3 things not going down against the USD 3 - US markets closed monday - ...

Huge difference between now and the last time it touched 200 and shot back up - UK GDP is 0 and the frail state of the economy is much more evident than back in May. Plus we are nearer to a rate cut (market expectations). Hence i dont really see the ...

Mate - really not sure how you could make a trendline on a 15 min chart to call for a 700 pip run. If you want a 500-700pip run you need to look at a bigger time frame. I am attaching a weekly and daily chart with trendlines - there is NO sign of ...

Just like all news last 20 days - this will have no medium to long term effect on the current USD trend. If at all i expect a whipsaw action. On long term charts - 8500 seem to be a possibility before the end of this week.

i trade crosses - a lot of times as a hedge against a major pair - at the moment i am short EUR/JPY, GBP/AUD, NZD/JPY and long on AUD/NZD (this one since yesterday) Bottomline i agree - crosses are very good at markets like we are now.

Swissy — Any one here interested in disussing CHF ? I can see a great potential for the USD/CHF and even bigger for GBP/CHF in the medium term, 2-3 months. If anyone is interested we can share thoughts, fundamentals and charts.

If you dont believe that fundamentally GBP should be strong - there is a nice oppurtunity to short GBP/CHF (2-3 day medium term trade). CHF is a winner because its a carry trade currency (which is currently unwinding). It is a safe-haven currency ...
