National consumer price index
The National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) reports that in March 2019 the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI) recorded a growth of 0.39 percent and annual inflation of 4.00 percent. In the same month of 2018, the results were 0.32 percent monthly and 5.04 percent annual. The underlying price index showed an increase of 0.34 percent monthly, as well as an annual rate of 3.55 percent; On the other hand, the non-core price index rose 0.51 percent, thus achieving an annual increase of 5.47 percent.
