OPEC cuts output by 797,000 barrels per day
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries produced 30.81 million barrels of crude per day on average last month or 797,000 less than in December. Its monthly report, published on Tuesday, showed Saudi Arabia cut by 350,000 barrels per day to 10.21 million, followed by the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, reducing the volume by 236,000 together. The numbers, obtained from secondary sources, revealed Nigeria was the only member with more than a marginal rise, adding 52,000 barrels per day.
