Congressional negotiators from both parties say that lawmakers have reached an agreement in principal to fund the government and avoid another shutdown, multiple outlets reported. If passed, the spending plan would keep the government running past a Feb. 15 deadline. It would avoid reopening fresh wounds of the 800,000 federal workers who missed two paychecks during a 35-day partial closure in December and January. The measure's passage, of course, depends on President Donald Trump's support.
