We retired to france during the Brexit process, the French system was fair, quick, easy and free to get a residence card healthcare and driving licence. Yes there are brits here who will have of had problems, not surprising as whole new departments had to be set up with patchy information due to covid mostly. Compare that with the article above, sad but not surprising.
