how do you work out the grid? — hey stevie! i've tried to work out the daily s & r levels using a weekly chart (see below). i'm getting grids of various sizes from 1000 to 2000. i just wanted to know if your daily grids are about 1000, the ...

4h chart — the notation here is what i currently trade as my system. if i stretch out my stops (which are usually 100's of pips) and cut my winners with 50 pips tp's then i can approximate something similar to what you do anyway, so it was ...

daily range — it wont't be more than a couple of posts. i think you said the current daily range is from 204-214 which i also agree with. so this is the current "grid" to borrow from drforex on FF (aka BWILC Dirk Du Toit). the blue lines ...

ok i know i'm not allowed posting here, but is this the week that oil breaks thru $100/brl?? i see that gold has smashed thru $800/oz in an equally strong uptrend. {waiting for phil to kick my ass off this thread...:}

wot no comments!?! well, quite surprising really since the box paid off big time today. i bet nearly everybody who traded this live probably got slipped, the actual was way, way off, so i bet the initial tick moves were pretty big all round. maybe ...

Roland, I know you wanted to discuss this report: I've been reading the same thing as well. Now ...

13450 is an intersting level. i see some potential around there but perhaps 10 pips higher - for now it remains to be seen how it consolidates on support and for me there is a downtrend line still to break.

look at the dow. candle purists might call this a hammer. the fact that professionals closed this above the weeky support, probably in the last hour of trading indicates to me we will have a pause at least. it mirrored the majors over the past week.

i like the trademark signature there michelle. as a quick aside, i see that cable completed the same pattern as fibre today - it's jsut hit its weekly support. i think that this could be a bottom for a few other markets. only time will tell.
- Isotonic replied Aug 16, 2007
The euro has bounced off weekly support. It's interesting to see the same sell off on the dow and wonder if we're seeing a pause or a bottom on a lot of markets. I agree with a lot of what you say here.

if you look at the weekly chart, the trend is still up, so with respect to that timeframe, we're seeing a brutal move down to support given all the fundie factors - credit collapse, liquidity injections by banks, carry trades unwinding etc etc. so ...

i've tried to fish out the fib lines from late june to the last peak and i get the chart below. the start point is from the break of the down trend, but i would normally draw these from swing lows to highs, and vice versa. still, if this is what ...

post #588 was recorded at 0316 GMT and the euro dropped between 0700 and 0800 GMT, around 3-4 hours later (see shaded bar on chart)

i also thought that the euro might stall here. the 50% fibo retraces to around the 13560 level. from a brief back-test over the past 4 years the fib level seems to work quite well if you focus your attention between 38 to 62. last time we had a ...

50% fibo — guys, i've checked out this fib level on the last two big swings on fibre and cable and it certainly looks impressive. i was wondering how jacko called the 13300 level and now i can see why. the 50% fib went down to 13270, with the ...

4h cable — don't worry i'll send you plenty of trendline material later...i'll give you bitesize chunks so you don't get overloaded.

stevie, this is what i want to teach you once you're done with the books. spend a month reading them and i'll give you some extra stuff to do later on. but first i want you to get a good grounding on system building, MM and psychology. i will send ...

euro and cable are slam dunks at the moment. looks like jacko hit the nail on the head with 13300.
