It is an indicator. When you know how to use it, it's a system. any indicator can become a system if one knows how to use it. ichimoku offers some more information about market which makes it a good indicator, in my opinion.

I would choose 1:100. The less leverage you choose the less free margin you will have. it's important to have enough free margin, otherwise you risk to be stoped out when you enter a trade.
