I avoid the GBPJPY for now as well, there is no clear trend in the short term and if you think you found one, the whipsaw is a problem.

i am not using any broker for this, I had a friend program the prices for me for Metatrader. I find that it is easier to work with compared to other softwares.

I'm trading the SMA as well among other factors. Based on your experience, would a higher SMA ie above 20 be better to cancel out the whipsaws?
