My high score is... 1! HAHA!

I haven't been able to chime in regularly recently but I read the recent posts from time to time. I think I can understand your frustrations Courtney, but I also think that it's reasonable Mike spends more time and effort at the PF than this thread, ...

Welcome back Courtney. GBPUSD D1 the outside bar closed neutral on my feed. Will probably wait for a better signal to reject the 1.5470~1.5500 PPZ instead, IMHO.

James call those calculated pivots as "floor trader pivots". Not too sure if James incorporated them much for forex trading. The J16 "PPZ", some posters here like to refer to them as S/R levels. As for time frames, the higher time frame PPZ tend to ...

Nice trades. I didn't think of combining 2 daily bars into 2-day bars until I saw your earlier post, and remembered hearing about it from one or two of Mike's webinars as he was answering questions. I demo-ed it on the GBP/JPY 2-day BUOB and it ...

Ya, not a high grade pin, but tradable if you're nimble. I'd watch it like a hawk when it gets to 1.5000 if I were you because it looks troublesome there.

Hi foxtrot In my feed, the pin bar's body is not entirely within the left eye, which violates one of the main criteria of a good pin bar. Also, if you scroll back along your chart, you'll notice that 185.00 is a strong S/R area, and the "pin bar" ...

Many of the supposed "pin bars" would be trading straight into traffic and S/R levels. Look at how the right eye is reacting off the S/R levels, i.e. away from the levels and retracing up along the wick/tail of the "pin". We're more than half way ...

Very nice, zamfir. Looks like it has been a pretty good month for you

I don't see an outside bar on your H4 chart.

I'm still sitting at the sidelines.. No "Grade A" trades sticking out to me in the charts available to my demo account at the moment. I saw the GBP/USD BUOB breakout yesterday, but looking at the location and where the BUOB closed (below 1.5800 ...

I think it depends on your trading strategy. IMO, for aggressive SL management like that, you'll definitely get stopped out of trades more often but you definitely protect your capital more effectively, and protecting capital is priority #1 before ...

Really crazy move with the JPY over the weekend, and nice trade, GB. What a trade to wrap August up. I did see a couple of JPY setups last week but didn't take them: AUD/JPY BEOB but it was trading right into PPZ; GBP/JPY IB off 195.00 and ...

Thanks Missing trades is fine IMHO, and entering a trade when you're not properly focused could be disastrous, considering how psychological trading is. DBHLC/DBLHC is a PA setup that I tend to pay close attention to, because I find that they are ...

Nice trade, mordin. btw just curious, are you a big Mass Effect fan? EUR/USD D1, DBLHC at minor swing low. PPZ and Fib confluence. Some quick 60 pips in one day.

Sorry Kershey, but that's not a trade-able pin bar. The bar before that is a slightly better pin bar (still not a Grade A pin bar because of the big body but at least the location is somewhat better), and technically you could enter at 50% retrace ...

Technical as in technical analysis. On the other hand, your post about trading and managing trades according to news and announcements is called fundamental analysis.

That's true, and even if price does reverse from 138 the trade would have been stopped out at BE. Gotcha most of my demo and paper trades are entered on break of PA, so playing the retrace is something new to me (hence my most recent questions on ...

High five, GB! I also took this trade in my demo account. 3 exact bar highs rejecting PPZ around 139, with the 3rd bar closing lower then the entire middle bar forming a beautiful DBHLC, and the price next day broke below 138 after retracing the PA ...

If I'm not mistaken, J16 trading is largely, if not purely, technical.
