Thanks, that's what I thought would happen. Right now it checks for open orders and will not re enter if there are orders, so that part works. So if it runs through init() then my new parameters would be used right?

boomswitch, what is it that stelling you to go long? It still looks short to me, except for USD CHF breaking out to the upside

T101, Thanks for the answer. Looks like I am getting in late. I sold all lastnight, this morning it was down over $800 (traing 1 mini lot each), so about 800 pips down. It is now 11 AM where I am CST, and I'm still down but only $70. Impressive.

Trader101, After reading this thread, I want to make sure I understand something. Theoretically, if you started the buy/sell demo acct 6 months ago, then you could rely on what it tells us now. So after getting that wonderful spreadsheet, I added a ...

Here is an EA that I use to hedge two pairs. It has a profit target in dollars and if CloseOnProfit is false, it will open another. UseMinis does nothing right now. You start it manually.

No problem Swingman - I just wanted to know exactly how you are calculating the INDICATOR not EA. I don't care about EA's. I built one using that formula that is close, but not exactly. If you don't care who has indicator, why do you care about the ...

Swingman, Would you mind posting the mq4 file for your indicator? I like to see how things are calculated and be able to analyze an EA code for accuracy and to see exactly what's happening before allowing a peice of code to trade for me. If you are ...

Does anyone know any sites that calculates PPP?
- bhale replied Jun 25, 2008
Hmmm. Looks lie its hard to quantify. I guess you have to use several economic numbers like inflation and GDP. EVerybody should know that the US has been calculating inflation wrong by leaving out energy.

Can I ask a dumb question? What is PPP?

In my last post, I was wrong about the time. I use GMT 0:00 not Midnight EST. The reason I am backtesting and forward testing to close any pending orders is that many times by then, if the trade is executed, it may be too late. Also, taking a loss ...

I've been backtesing visually with this and got good results. Since I am in CDT USA, I use midnight NY time to calculate entries. Then at 8 AM NY time, I check entries. Whateve hasn't hit,I close or delete the order. If a trade is still on, then it ...

well, exxxxcccuuussseee me! - Price action?? This method isn't based on price action. It's simply a way to get in on the right side on a high percentage basis. Inside bar methods have nothing to do with price action. If you can easily write an ...

Has anyone come up with an EA for this? I have to trade the NY session and I frequently see many good opportunities in the London session that are gone by the time I am up.

At the end of the day you would be about -30 on EURJPY and -120 or so on EURUSD. Do you just keep it on and wait it out, trying to get back to +- 10 pips?
- bhale replied Jun 4, 2008
You would have gotten creamed yesterday. I calculated before 1200 GMT, before Bernanke sent the dollar higher. You would have EURJPY ay -140 pips and EURUSD at + 30 pips.
