About Hector's magic bar indicator, other than closing above or below 6 EMA before it changes color, is there any other rule sets in the indicator? It didn't seem to work in this case (see attached pic). The black candle with a blue box around ...

For 1 HR time frame trade setups, if no push through supply bar is observed, do you go down to the 5 min. TF and trade the push through supply bar there? It seems if I do that, without the 1 HR TF push through bar confirmation, we can get stopped ...

Why is AUDUSD not the highest probability trade to take?

For AUDUSD, are we still waiting for a BPC to enter long on the Daily setup, 4 HR trigger chart? Or are we entering based on a 123 formation?

Isn't EU close to the weekly resistance level at 1.37500? I was thinking of waiting for price to clear 1.37500 before going long. Your chart indicated going long in an area just below the weekly resistance level. What do you think?

Thanks everyone for your help. With not as much screen time, in those situations, I would sometimes hesitate about taking the trade. Given all your inputs, I think it is safe to say both trades are safe (high probability) enough to take, with some ...

Would you guys have taken both the AUDUSD and EURUSD trades in those setups? How would you have approached those? If we follow Hector's method strictly, looks like no trades could have been taken, unless there were BPC (2-6 bars) after the trendline ...

Aren't double bottom/tops a type of 123 formation? I thought as long as point 3 doesn't take out point 1. For AUDUSD, although point 3 slightly took out point 1 isn't there a double bottom formed?

Hello NM, Custo and other Hector traders, Are the setups below valid 123 formations based on Hector's method? I wasn't sure if it was more a triangle/channel breakout (requiring BPC) or a 123 formation. AUDUSD 4 HR Setup, 1 HR Trigger EURUSD, 4 HR ...

Really helpful analysis NM. I never thought about using that extra horizontal resistance line besides the blue resistance line (confluence area) for further confirmation. Looking at the chart again, I agree the 123 reversal formation wasn't too ...

Would this be a failed 123 formation? AUDCHF 4 HR setup, 1 HR trigger. Entry is when price broke the trendline and aspect #2. SL was eventually hit.

1. We still need a break of the outer trendline before entry, correct? 2. I was referring to the distance between aspect #2 tip and the break of the outer trendline. Sometimes, this can be quite far away. I guess this is irrelevant, if entries are ...

So this mean you only take trades after price reaches a confluence level (i.e. S&R, Fib.) with round numbers? If no round numbers at a confluence level then no trades? Also, I have a few questions about 123 breakout patterns. 1. Do you wait for the ...

Hello NM & all expert Hector traders, Is it a must that price hit round numbers (00 or 50) first before taking any 3 SMA trades? Does this apply to all currency pairs or just the majors? Sometimes price will hit a S&R area within 38.2-61.8 Fib ...

Has anyone gone through Hector's new forex course, LearnForexLive? It seems like he is relying more on indicators for entry and exits. Is this true? Are his new strategies less conservative? I have his older 3 SMA course, and is thinking of getting ...

Yes, I agree. Simone was very helpful and patient. Thank you again, Simone! I was in the same trades as you Vark. I'm still figuring out when is best to move our SL. If we move 1st entry to BE after 2nd entry according to the Breach Fib videos, ...

The chart that was posted is GU 15 min. TF, even though file name shows EU. Looks like your chart is one hour ahead of mine. It might be something to do with daylight savings. My main concern is actually Trade Setup #2, posting 820. Shouldn't the ...

That's strange. My Metatrader platform shows 3 AM EST at a later close.

For March 26, GBPUSD starting at 3 AM. Price went to the 80.9 intraday fib resistance and then back down to 19.1 before hitting Bull target #1. 1st entry was at 1.4852 and 2nd entry at 1.4862? This would have resulted in a loss, after moving 1st ...

Hello Simone, According to your PDF manual (pg 15), for intraday fibs, we look for long entries if price closes above 61.8 and shorts below 38.2. I notice we just use the Breach fib to enter in the direction of breach before price enters buy/sell ...
