I am with IC Markets and I pay about 3.50 Euro per standardlot which is a lot if you scalp, having a 4 pip SL and target of 4 pips. Is this still fine to do? What is the RR you guys are usually targeting?

What is the RR you guys are getting? I find it hard trading 1 R as the commission eats half of my profit when scalping for 2-5 pips. If I choose a 1:2 RR, it usually ends up being 1:1. Any advice on this?

I'd love to get some feedback on my trade: - My entries are described on the image and what I saw. - I didn't have any fundamental reason this time to short, just technical as price was at R61 and showed weakness - As price came back to R61 the ...

Oh, it's actually pretty simple. I wasn't aware that you calculate it this way. Thanks so much, this totally makes sense! Thanks Aar!!

Thank you kindly for the explanation. However, what made you so sure that this demand will hold? Was it just the on the M15 for the M30 zone? Potentially, you could trade all M30 demands along the way no? Sorry for the many questions, just trying to ...

Since I trade the 5M as well and was looking at EU, I just wonder what made you take the first two buys on the bottom? Was there a big zone to the left or did you just monitor the 5M chart and watched PA and thought "oh, there are many wicks, ...

Thanks for the explanations. Studying your charts will be much easier now :-)

It's basically making some sort of drop, base, drop while the bear candle at the 2nd drop engulfs. Would that be correct? And if it engulfs, what would you like to see engulfed? Just the one previous candles body? Does it have to engulf in one ...

Hey C-12, do you mind clarifying your definition of "engulf"? I seem not to get it, especially in this image. Thanks a lot in advance!

Thanks for the lovely discussion :-)

I think there is a misunderstanding. I totally get your point now, but when I mentioned that my strategy is indicator based with a bit of PA, then I meant that there is a pattern I follow that needs to meet certain criteria to enter. Most of these ...

The link does not work. I agree, yet I am asking others to confirm it because I am unsure. I've heard many things and theories, but I am open-minded and have an ear to listen and to learn in case MAs and RSI could lose values.
- RaysJourney replied Jun 27, 2018
I get your point somehow, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Counter questions: What makes you think that a standard indicator, like the moving average or an RSI will lose value in the future? You believe price movements will be SO different (but it ...

Hmm very interesting observation or may I almost call it a fact? Nonethless, I will experiment with the stochastics and see what I can come up with as I use it as well. Thank you for your insights here!

Hey C-12, Do you mind explaining how you are able to join such "waterfalls" and what you were looking for before entering a sell, starting from the first short position?

What is your argument for this that the system is not working when he obviously states that he basically "lost his mind" a.k.a. emotions took over a.k.a. human error? Just wondering. It's not like he uses an EA that stopped working nor indicators ...

I am not really sure if I missed your point that answers my question in the first post or not but despite that, your insight is awesome! "I don't use the moving averages as a signal. I use them because I cannot see the price action or I'm not ...

Wow, this is the first time that the first reply on my question just feels and looks so spot on. And so professional! I am happy that I am not the only one with this dilemma. Okay, few comments of what you've said: - Yes, it seems often like a ...

Stop hunt is something I am trying to teach myself - basically entering where other peoples stops are, which makes most sense (if that is what you are talking about). I was never a big fan of indicators but since I am still not a professional at ...

The reason why I haven't added a faster MA so far is due to the 50 EMA being very popular and I believe it's popular as it is very reliable. From my own observations, if price surpasses the 50 EMA by "a lot", it often is a sign of a full-blown ...
