Probably not the best place to get advice as at any one time the majority of traders here are wrong. A couple good traders here though, you'll just have to read their posts and check their accuracy yourself.

Yeah I just got done looking at the economic numbers and now I understand. Think I'll wait til much higher before I enter a short. I hate getting in right below or at a whole number though; prefer 20 pips or so higher

Haha, no problem. Hope the info helps. Usually you'll see about 100-250 million per day. 350 is a decent day. 1 billion I've never seen before, but only check occasionally or when I see a news bite like today.

I agree, only surprise would be to the upside on NFP, but the market is in a little panic over a potential double dip. That and the US could use a weaker dollar. Any little deviance from consensus could get the herd running...
