I think part of the issue was the fact that the blog labels itself as "Intelligent 'anti-Semitism' for thinking Gentiles". Also flat earth and anti semitism tend to go like peanut butter and jelly on a sandwich.

Fair enough, the mechanism is made to deal with all types of forces acting on it, not just curvature... It was my error to think that this could prove curvature when there are other uses for the mechanism.
