Yes, it most certainly is a good and interesting lesson. Thank you! I was editing my previous post while your reply came in, I made some observations of your 1st example and how I think the second one solves a big problem in the 1st. Might be wrong, ...

I see.. on starting the masfast_1 and maslow_1 would both be 0, and since both conditions require either mafast_1>maslow_1 or mafast_1<maslow_1, they would never fulfill. But I suppose that's the beauty of the last two lines as they cover that ...

@CodeMeister: I think my misunderstanding stems from my noob ignorance of static variables. Laughable now.. Me:"Yes, I want to get a static snapshot." You:"Just use a static variable." Me:"???" @kennyhubbard: Thanks for the code. I would have gone ...

That looks very interesting. Out of curiosity, is this a proprietary software? Why not use the existing platforms out there like Tradestation or Metatrader? Saves a boatload of time.

And the irony is that, I have a latency of 7ms to my account's FXCM server while it's 88ms to my other broker's server. So it's definitely not a latency issue. It's disappointing and a pity.

I've been old ticked to death for the past 2 months on my live account. Just 30 minutes ago, I watched a trade go 3 pips past my TP on the trade terminal for 2 seconds and nothing, I checked the journal and true enough, old tick. My parallel live ...
