Hmm... I think 95% of people just try short term trading (including scalping) first but don't know what they're doing.

Well using a sl of 4 pips (and a brokers' spread of 2 pips) you just get stopped out due to the noise. This doesn't happen in backtests but in forward tests and is a problem for all scalping EAs.

That depends. From Oanda's side there are no costs for wire transfer. If I transfer money from EU to Oanda it doesn't cost anything.

That is correct. You just hedge the currency risk nothing more. So if the CAD depreciates you will compensate that with your USD/CAD long position in your USD account.

I think we might now have a good time to start carry trading again. I stopped carrying as the AUD/JPY was around 95 somewhen in spring 08. But now after that heavy drop of 40% I'll reactivate my carry grid again.
