Thruline replied Dec 27, 2006I was a Prechter for the 1987 correction. He was certain that was the top. Glenn Neely, a 'neo-elliottician' was certain, it was a correction and the DOW would go to 10,000 at minimum before the bear could take hold. What I can tell you here in ...

Thruline replied Dec 27, 2006I agree with the prior two posters. I spent a LOT of time with EWT, subscribed to newsletters, studied, then studied some more. It didn't help the bottom line. I do recommend learning the basics; there are some useful concepts there.

Thruline replied Dec 24, 2006Hey Linux: Thanks for sharing your methods, philosophy. Are you saying M1 charts on MT4 are not not usable? If so, could you expand on why? Happy holidays!

Thruline replied Dec 18, 2006The 'tail' on the hammer reflects either buyers or sellers coming in and turning the market decisively up or down. There's often follow-thru for at least a few subsequent candles.

Thruline replied Dec 15, 2006Hey, Keys: Is this a separate indicator based on momentum bars? If so, please share. I use the 50/14. It works very well on the hourly and above. I use it with MACD to catch divergence-based turns.

Thruline replied Dec 13, 2006Some people love esig. I didn't. They'll have to pass on their costs for their pricey software somehow...

Thruline replied Aug 27, 2006If you're profitable with play money, but lose with real money, what's wrong? You're not alone, amigo. Trade micro lots and do 'systematic desensitization'. Get used to making and losing in micros. When you've become comfortable with that, bump up ...

Thruline replied Aug 25, 2006Divergence trading works if you use multiple time frames and wait for confirmation. A 'counter trend' divergence signal on 5m can be a 'with trend' signal on the 15m or hourly. Confirmation can be a trend line break, zero line cross, MAs.
Which is more profitable: Trend or Divergence trading?

Thruline replied Mar 27, 2006I had esignal. I don't recommend it for forex. It's ok for eminis, but there are good options that cost less like Sierra and Ensign. I used VT for a while, liked it. I use MT4 now; like the interface better and lots of folks using it and programming ...

Thruline replied Jan 4, 2006I watched Franz trade on a day when the markets were cruel indeed. He got slammed, managed it like a pro and worked out of it. It was impressive. He is, by far, the best trader I've ever seen trade--and, yes, I've had the opportunity to watch some ...

Thruline replied Dec 21, 2005Chris has mentioned a problem with system memory related to long-term use of VT. Shutting it down and re-booting takes care of it. I've had some frustrations with the software--like the navigation bar disappearing, number of bars that can be ...
