chamane replied Nov 2, 2009Hi, I haven't checked the most recent signals. I am not trading it right now, but I will for sure. I am using it as a set ans forget technique so I don't demo to get the feel of it as I do with other strategies. I am confident with the results on ...

chamane replied Oct 1, 2009It's a very close call. Playing around with timeframes could help to take a decision. Here's what my vertical bars of my previous picture look like on an 1hr TF. The signal is clear. image

chamane replied Oct 1, 2009Hi stevegee, What indicator do you use? Mine OverLayChartLine tells me the setup is not valid because the bottom of valleys are not lined up. But it seems to be valid for you. Thanks. image

chamane replied Sep 24, 2009I am following your thread with great interest. Just an idea with the CCI. when there is a signal with 55, look if it matches the direction of 275 (5 times higher TF). On 5min charts, it looks like good probability for 10 pips trades with SL at last ...

chamane replied Sep 23, 2009Also CCI(55) seems to be giving pretty close signals compared to Fisher(55). And it doesn't repaint. image

Hedge and Correlation Strategy
-
chamane replied Sep 17, 2009I don't know if it's good or not, but it's been working for me so far. I am still practicing with it. Since EURUSD and USDCHF is one of the best correlated combination up to now, I think it's important to find a way to use it in a correlation ...

chamane replied Sep 17, 2009I don't know what you mean by counter trend, but he uses that .25% difference between price and yesterday's close to identify divergence and to enter trades. I am always refering to the strategy I find on stocks with ratios: url url So if the ...

chamane replied Sep 16, 2009I just made +7 pips on this one. I use the 5 min chart. In this case the third pair (EURNZD) got overbought (using CCI21 and BB) in the 5min, 15 min and 1hr chart. So when price gets out of OB in 5min, I enter (first arrow). At this point, there is ...
Hedge and Correlation Strategy

chamane replied Sep 16, 2009You are probably right. I got burnt last week with a huge DD. I don't like those situations since there is no stop loss. I prefer getting 40 pips safe out of two trades per day. I just entered AUDUSD sell / NZDUSD buy. I'll let it run more.

chamane replied Sep 16, 2009My testing has been limited so far, but tight correlated pairs is working good for me. Just aiming 10-20 pips per trade. For each pair, I get 1 or two trades per day. But it could change in the long run.
Hedge and Correlation Strategy

chamane replied Sep 16, 2009I am trading the negative correlation EURUSD/USDCHF using Spieler's method with the reverse of USDCHF. It's been giving me 10-20 pips constantly the past few trades. It is one of the most if not the most regular correlation there is. Also using ...

chamane replied Sep 14, 2009That is not reassuring. I think I will be following the strategy with two different charts one on top of the other with no indicator. Thanks for answer.

chamane replied Sep 14, 2009How can that be? I understand the extra wave at the first vertical line, but at the second and third, everything looks in sync to me. image
