Since yesterday, the probability of a rate cut according to the CME FedWatch Tool has gone up by 2.5%. As uncertainty rises, you can bet on more extreme volatility across metals, especially gold.

Chuquicamata is the world's largest open pit copper mine. Codelco has been trying to convert to an underground facility. If this drags on, I'd look for copper prices to start appreciating.
