venzen replied Oct 27, 2013hi Ramses, Yes, your alt count shows the i-ii relabeled as 3-4 and I sat with that for about 3 hours! What changed my mind was the massive divergence showing at lower TFs. You mention RSI looking bullish. On your chart, take a look at what happens ...

venzen replied Oct 27, 2013hi Olu, hope you're well! I just posted and then noticed your chart. What you show is plausible but consider the tendency of Metals and Commodities to extend their 5th waves. In this case, that late June advance that a lot of people are counting as ...

venzen replied Oct 27, 2013Gold M15 - uptrend EW count The chart shows three counts: the white count assumes an ongoing downward correction in which the current advance is doomed to turn lower once 1,400 has been achieved. An alternate "ending" for wave 5 is shown in blue - ...

venzen replied Oct 25, 2013The diagram you show is the idealized wave pattern - it's rare to find that in the wild. Additionally, I think the entire wave advance is a diagonal and not an impulse. Which is a different count: instead of impulse 5-3-5-3-5 it is 3-3-3-3-3

venzen replied Oct 25, 2013Ramses, Look at wave1: 3w then 5w - classic herald of a diagonal but I missed it until yesterday! Then (as you have) ABC to 2; ABC to 3; ABC to 4 and ABC to where PA is right now. I'd expect we go down in a 2nd wave to 62% or if the diagonal theme ...

venzen replied Oct 25, 2013That top TL on my chart is a target - but as i explain it is a characteristic of expanding diagonals that the last wave (5) more often than not fails to make target. Most people use "target" in the sense that it is what is being aimed for - But hit ...

venzen replied Oct 25, 2013Gold PA in an expanding diagonal which tells us 2 things: 1) this is the last large degree wave up before correction 2) as is the nature of expanding diagonals, the current wave 5 will most likely not reach the upper TL As I write PA is still trying ...

venzen replied Oct 23, 2013Ramses, I think what you point out is exactly strict adherence to technicals: It's bouncing along the top of a trendline! any break below and a new price pattern will emerge. Bitcoin PA does zigzag a lot - even as it draws out an impulse (like at ...
