Non ESMA broker with Micro Lots
-
tradesimply replied Jul 13, 2018The whole thing is so frustrating! IG have send an email saying that open positions will not be affected but that any position opened from 2nd August will have new leverage applied. Either way, the whole thing is pants!
ESMA, thanks for moving margin call closer!
-
tradesimply replied Jul 13, 2018This is what I'm worried about. EU traders have had no problem opening accounts and trading with non-EU brokers so far, but will they change the leverage offered to EU traders after 1 August? Mmm, guess will just have to wait and see, will be ...
Non ESMA broker with Micro Lots
-
tradesimply replied Jul 12, 2018You'll be fine opening an account with a non-ESMA regulated broker Krypt0n1te, especially as you are trading from outside the EU. The way I understand it is that if a broker has offices in the EU and elsewhere, if you live in the EU you cannot ...
Non ESMA broker with Micro Lots
-
tradesimply replied Jul 12, 2018Hi Krypt0n1te IC Markets offers Micro Lots in Forex, but not sure about Indices. Let us know how you get on, this ESMA nonsense is certainly testing our ability to adapt! All the best TS
Non ESMA broker with Micro Lots
-
tradesimply replied Jul 11, 2018To be approved, I would need £500,000 in assets (excluding home) which is bonkers imho! If I have that amount of money, I wouldn't have a problem stumping up the extra margin required! It's very frustrating. So, I have done the same as the previous ...
European Traders - new ESMA regulations!
-
tradesimply replied Jul 9, 2018Yep, it's happening unfortunately... Still makes me livid, but no use complaining. I'm moving my account to Oz and making the most of it until similar regulations spread there too...
Breaking: ESMA finalizes new rules to govern leveraged trading

tradesimply replied Jul 8, 2018IC Markets accepts WebMoney for deposits in USD, EUR and RUB. Withdrawals are via Bank Transfer. Hope that helps :-)
brokers accepting WebMoney?
-
tradesimply replied Jul 5, 2018IC Markets offers Bitcoin CFDs, if that helps :-)
Which brokers offer Bitcoin?
-
tradesimply replied Jul 4, 2018That's the frustrating thing! The fact that your stop of 20-30 pips means you are risking only £20-£30 has no bearing on the margin required. You would in fact need over £400!
Breaking: ESMA finalizes new rules to govern leveraged trading
-
tradesimply replied Jul 2, 2018Yes, there are a few non-EU brokers filling the gap, primarily in Australia (like IC Markets). There are some discussions about this topic, but surprisingly few given the huge change in leverage taking place in less than a month! All the best TS
EU is lowering leverage. What now?
-
tradesimply replied Jun 28, 2018No problem :-) I'm hoping my UK broker pulls something out of the bag too, I still can't quite believe they are just going to let all those clients go elsewhere!
European Traders - new ESMA regulations!
-
tradesimply replied Jun 28, 2018Pros: good leverage, nice platform, orders filled no problem Cons: will have to pay UK tax (spread betting at the moment) Unknowns: speed of withdrawals, haven't done it yet but looks straightforward
European Traders - new ESMA regulations!
-
tradesimply replied Jun 28, 2018Still just over a month to go for the EU brokers to pull something out of the bag... My Plan B is to move my funds over to IC Markets, I've already opened an account to get used to the platform and it all looks good so far!

tradesimply replied Jun 15, 2018I opened an account with { information deleted by staff, per membership policy } a couple of weeks ago, really pleased so far. Just getting used to the platform at the moment, getting ready to switch properly come August.
IC Markets experienced traders, do you suggest this company?

Pepperstone, IC Markets, Tickmill? Which one to choose?
-
tradesimply replied Jun 14, 2018Agree luca, Australian brokers are a really good option for those of us affected by ESMA. I've opened an account with IC Markets, really pleased so far, just getting used to the platform so that I am ready to switch come August. Still wondering ...
FX Trading in Europe under threat - act now
-
tradesimply replied Jun 6, 2018Yep, got the heads up from IG earlier this week, that it all starts on 1st August for the instruments I trade. I've just opened an account with IC Markets and plan on spending the next 8 weeks getting used to the platform so that I'm good to go come ...

tradesimply replied Feb 9, 2018Haha, I think they would have employed someone a little more eloquent! Also, the brief would surely have gone along the lines of "for goodness sake don't alienate any potential clients with any hippy stuff". Or maybe it's a double-bluff? ...
