I would stick with the router WAN to LAN types of devices for dual WAN conenctions.

Yes, that is true. For now, I currently use my Comcast ISP for trading off my PC and if that goes down I just manage my trades from my Verizon smart phone.

Your IP traffic, if using dual WAN router will switch to the live connection. Load balancing will manage the connection and switch it.
