Its worth a shot but I think it would take many tries with our SL getting hit before we get 200 pips. Kind of like going for a flush Ace high. I think we would need to identify other parameters which indicate that this could be a big move. A lot of ...

I've never used ninjatrader. I think they have a simulator that you can download for free, so you can probably try our their platform. I use interactive brokers. Keep in mind, I customized my platform to allow 1 click entries. This is not something ...

I use interactive brokers so I don't know anything about Alpari. Sorry. Maybe someone else here can help you out.

Yeah I dont know how some of your platforms work but with mine, I can configure it so I enter with just a mouse click or keystroke at market price.

There are usually pauses, in both examples above, where price hits resistance, if only for 5-10secs. Once hit breaks, I just punch in. If it goes straight up without a pause then yeah, I may miss it but these dont happen all too often.

I took the same entry and got out with 20 pips. Unfortunately I had switched to simulator mode so its not worth anything but practice.

The last two PPIs have been below forecast, so I'm leaning towards a short. Whatever the case, I will wait for a big move before looking for a possible entry.

I've been temped to try your idea of guessing the news and putting in a trade just before the news comes out. Its worth a shot so long as you keep tight stops. The other thing I was thinking was putting a buy-stop and a sell-stop order 10 pips from ...

This is the only part that concerns me and why I didn't jump in for the ride during the 30 pip dive....possible whip saw. I watched the cdn/usd yesterday, whip down 20 pips then back up 30 pips in what seemed like the blink of an eye. I might try ...

So I've figured out a way to trade the news. When you see a 30+ pip candle stick, get the f*** on board and buckle up.
