traider replied Aug 22, 2014True. Just wondering, you know, as one often does.
Let's build together a system which makes 1000%/month

traider replied Aug 22, 2014I once heard tell that some of the financial houses uses physicists and rocket scientists to measure these market forces. Wonder whether anyone has cobbled together an indicator based around these sorts of esoteric measurements?
Let's build together a system which makes 1000%/month

traider replied Aug 22, 2014In any case, anyone looking at or even trying to analyse the holy grail is not going to make head or tail of it. There is a complex logic to it. I cannot comment on other methods as I am not qualified to but as I said in another thread on scalping, ...
Let's build together a system which makes 1000%/month

traider replied Aug 22, 2014I trade the 15 min tf and catch daily sentiment. In during Asia, out at the close of NY typically, every day. These moves tend to ignore news etc. At news time, these setups signal which way the news will go, sort of thing. Patience is the key ...
Let's build together a system which makes 1000%/month

traider replied Aug 22, 2014The holy grail is out there. I observe it every day. It's complex beyond words though and will take a lot of hard work and self reliance. No one is going to give it to you. Anyone who has it does not have to teach it for a living nor does his need ...

traider replied Aug 18, 2014@Danc I take my cap off to scalpers who can actually make a consistent living. They must be finely in tune with momentum.
Scalping - boon or bane?
-
traider replied Aug 17, 2014Undoubtedly, someone with momentum at the level of pure skill may well achieve that. Alas, I am not and tend to use price to capture the days sentiment.
Scalping - boon or bane?
-
traider replied Aug 16, 2014Perhaps, perhaps not. It's possible I should imagine to get a feel for momentum. I tend to stick to price but momentum is what I would want to excel at if I were scalping which I am not.
Why so many indicators, oscillators, and tools on charts
-
traider replied Aug 16, 2014If you're gonna scalp, I would suggest in and out in minutes. Any longer and you would need to get your head around price as that is where the action is.
Scalping - boon or bane?
-
traider replied Aug 16, 2014I am sure scalping can work if you are in tune with the momentum of the market. I prefer price myself but like any activity, I am sure there are some fine readers of momentum out there.
Scalping - boon or bane?
-
traider commented Aug 14, 2014No. The same thing drives the market as it has from time immemorial, price. There is no room for the fixing of price. It can be strong, moderate, weak or non-existent. I would suspect anyone incapable of surviving in this environment other then by ...
AUD/USD Signals Bullish Continuation by Breaking a Trendline
-
traider replied Aug 10, 2014Scalping is definitely in a class of its own in terms of what you use. However when looking for daily sentiment, indicators are more of a liability, IMHO.
Why so many indicators, oscillators, and tools on charts
-
traider replied Aug 9, 2014Having no indicators, yes, having no chart, big mistake.
Why so many indicators, oscillators, and tools on charts
-
traider replied Aug 6, 2014I did qualify my comment for those who would take offence and of course, I am mindful not to unsettle those who have systems that work for whatever duration. But for consistent results irrespective of market conditions, you would need to look for ...
What is a good way to tell if a trend still has momentum?
-
traider replied Aug 6, 2014For what it's worth, price discovery is the only way of determining direction...and there are grades of the process.
What is a good way to tell if a trend still has momentum?
-
traider replied Jul 28, 2014@Smash As one understands price discovery, complete accuracy becomes inevitable. However, take it from me...it is complex.
Is this the reason why you don't want to share your Holy Grail?
-
traider replied Jul 27, 2014Its too complex for one and I cannot see why I should give away my hard work to total strangers. I may give you a few pointers but I would expect you to be as equally driven as I was and put in the hard yards. There are no freebies in capitalism.
Is this the reason why you don't want to share your Holy Grail?
-
traider replied Jul 27, 2014No probs. In Blenheim. But yeah...it's a pretty complex process and could take a lifetime to perfect but that's the essence of whats driving direction.
