NowAndLater replied Aug 14, 2008With this indicator it gives you H8 charts and you can set which H8 to see by changing TimeShift. Put the indicator on H1 chart, change PeriodMultiplier to "8", and then change TimeShift to "-2" which will choose the 8 hours like this: 22-06, 06-14, ...

NowAndLater replied Aug 13, 2008So what is it that you want to discuss? How to manage a trade, or how to divide a position or something else? Or you just want to talk about how important MM is? And it seems like you are looking for MM for mechanical systems since you are using ...

NowAndLater replied Aug 13, 2008I think some of the more experienced breakout traders can "see" which breakouts that has more potential, as PC has mentioned himself, and can therefore risk a little more on a single trade (not saying that potentially PC does this, only that he ...

NowAndLater replied Aug 13, 2008You can do what you want, there are no rules for when to trade. What I can say that it's risky to trade during news and I usually won't enter a trade within the last 1-2 hours of a major news as the breakouts are mostly fake and markets often are in ...

NowAndLater replied Aug 13, 2008The reason to why I think you should stick to the same risked % on every trade is because you will never know when you are going to be stopped out, you simply don't. Sure the setup might be a A+ setup, but what can happen is that you might be ...

NowAndLater replied Aug 12, 2008I misread your post, didn't realise you wrote "I tend not to enter trades (for now) where SL is greater than 40 pips", missed the not. Most of my trades has a sl that is around 12-15 pips, this way I get to BE easier and can think about managing the ...

NowAndLater replied Aug 11, 2008I'm the opposite - I look for trades with sl size that is smaller than 20-25pips because of the RR ratio, the smaller the better as it enhances the R:R ratio a lot, and it's fine that the sl is small because it's from a breakout.

NowAndLater replied Aug 11, 2008You answer it yourself actually. If I see a 200-300 retracment I will exit only because it's taken out my sl. If my sl is 250 pips away, and price has retraced 200 pips - should I then exit when price has retraced 200 pips when my sl is 50 pips ...
