You can have longs and shorts open simultaneously with Oanda using subaccounts, though I'm not sure why anyone hedges with opposing positions. All you're doing is paying an extra spread.

Actually they post a strategy guide on their site; its a pdf file on the sidebar. Just using some fibs and pivots, but over 9k pips in about 4 months is pretty good
