MetaCoder replied Nov 4, 2014It is an EA. My intention is to make it easier to build a trading system around the wormhole detection if desired.
Wormholes - stochastic mismatch system
-
MetaCoder replied Nov 4, 2014See earlier post for an idea: "waiting for distance to be +50 or -50 then entering" Trade direction assumes market will return to the wormhole.
Wormholes - stochastic mismatch system

MetaCoder replied Nov 3, 2014The trigger is whenever the stochastic values across the two timeframes being compared do not match. Sometimes you'll see a single mismatch, with similarity running for a long time. Other times you'll see tick after tick of mismatches until things ...

MetaCoder replied Nov 3, 2014Oh yes you do too have insight, I say!

Wormholes - stochastic mismatch system

MetaCoder replied Nov 3, 2014I hope to have time soon to gain insight such as yours from my own observations. It should be useful to compare notes when more have us have a deeper understanding.

MetaCoder replied Nov 3, 2014Happy to share, hope it is found useful or at least interesting.

MetaCoder replied Nov 3, 2014Blank means a dissimilarity has not been detected yet; it's been all similarity so far. The EA prints text that says, "No Mismatch Yet". EA draws a red horizontal line when a wormhole is seen.

MetaCoder replied Nov 3, 2014It looks like you set yourself up to get a detailed look at what happens. It should be interesting to find out what you observe after you've been able to watch for a while.

MetaCoder replied Nov 3, 2014OK so have fun watching the wormholes in relation to current market action and please share your observations.
Wormholes - stochastic mismatch system

MetaCoder replied Nov 3, 2014I have very limited time to do EA development. Others can take my EAs and add features as desired; this is why I provide source code. But yes I'm sure it is possible to do what you are suggesting.

MetaCoder replied Nov 3, 2014First post has a link to another post that shows a chart. Best thing is to run the EA on a chart and see for yourself.

MetaCoder replied Nov 3, 2014This thread is NOT meant to give examples of "proper" trading techniques, money management, risk:reward, etc. I want it to be about the wormholes.

MetaCoder replied Nov 3, 2014Blank means a dissimilarity has not been detected yet; it's been all similarity so far. The EA prints text that says, "No Mismatch Yet". And then when mismatches have been detected, the EA tells you how many points the current market action is above ...

MetaCoder replied Oct 29, 2014RevealWormhole recently gave a buy signal that one could have taken to grab a few pips in a small amount of time. The chart shows the state of the market after the price rose from below the price mark (red line). The distortion level remains in ...

MetaCoder replied Oct 28, 2014Here they are. My observation: 1min_5min generates a lot of noise. Maybe someone will figure out how to use that one to their advantage. file file file file

MetaCoder replied Oct 28, 2014I coded RevealWormhole for 4 different timeframe pairs: 1 minute and 5 minutes 5 minute and 15 minutes 15 minutes and 30 minutes 30 minutes and 1 hour You can control the K period values with external settings. The defaults are not necessarily the ...

MetaCoder replied Oct 24, 2014You can do this yourself with the tiniest amount of effort. Did you open the EA? At the top, it says, "Timeframes H1 and M30 will be compared unless the source code is changed." If you think it is a good idea to make the change, surely you think it ...
