Saw that but was away, nice clean test good for 50-70 pips. Did you take it?

I know.. I've held off on the crosses due to IB's inept margin system. Both sides of a cross are treated separately, so crosses are 25:1 (instead of 50:1). However, IB's maintenance margin is the same as initial, so you can't effectively use even ...

Japan is an exporting country, so a strong yen hurts their corporate interests, hence weaker Nikkei.

QuoteTracker. The pivots are automated. They're slightly off because my broker (IB) has a 17:00 - 17:15 close cycle.. I'm trying to setup a second data source to get an accurate 17:00 open candle.

Wow! Excellent timing on his part. Surprised he didn't cover after that first leg down to 100 when it retraced back up 350. What's his tp, or is he just letting it ride?

Hedge funds.. the blowups so far could just be the tip of the iceberg. For strictly forex traders, liquidity is easy. But these funds are leveraged up on borrowed yen, then bought CDOs and other subprime-linked derivative disasters.

IB/IdealPro is best described as an internal ECN. They have quotes from 7 or 8 interbank providers, sub-pip spreads, and client orders are broadcast inside the book (you can pay the spread, or wait & make the spread). No NZD and 25:1 on exotics, so ...

No problems here on IB's IdealPro data. I keep a Hotspot FXi demo going to compare spreads and their data has been fine too. I'm looking into a tertiary ECN data source and will avoid eSig, thanks for the heads up.

The problem I have with these fibonacci retracements is that you can define arbitrarily any starting point to fit any current situation (as seen in the past 4 fib charts that have been posted).

Wow, take a glance at the other crosses. Kiwi/yen under 79 a minute ago, off 575 pips since noon today, off nearly 2000 pips in two weeks. GBP/JPY off >2000. Going to be some great entries for position trades if/when this settles down.

Sorry for your losses, and I mean no offense, but what was with the tirade yesterday about "always being right" when you bought AUD/JPY at 96.90? (and long G/U and short U/CAD) Such hubris will get you hanged in this market..
