ddaytrader replied Aug 4, 2009My GU long from Asia was stopped out. I've been tempted a few times this morning, and I have gone as far as typing entry orders, but I deleted them without setting them. Would have been nice to catch the moonshot by the EJ, but PA started from below ...

ddaytrader replied Aug 4, 2009I think the FXCM anser is obvious: "This is how we're doing it, stupid Americans. If you don't like it, leave!"

ddaytrader replied Aug 3, 2009Right now you arelooking like the smart money ... you must have been one of those big boys selling out to litle guys like me. Lots of volume, but it looks like that volume may have been distribution in anticipation of a decline rather than ...

ddaytrader replied Aug 3, 2009It happens to me too. I must have missed 100 SonicR entries because I was ready for a short that turned out to be a long or I was waiting for a long but the market went short. That is why I no longer think about whther a pair is going to go up or ...

ddaytrader replied Aug 3, 2009Hi Rastaman, I don't think. I lose money everytime I do. Trading is like sitting on the beach: I just watch the waves and react to them. But right now, I would agree that GU looks to be consolidating. But as Linda Raschke taught in her Chicago ...

ddaytrader replied Aug 3, 2009I'll let you know how it goes for me. 50:1 should not be a problem as I usually use a very small percent of my available margin.

ddaytrader replied Aug 3, 2009Good Evening Sonikers! Ok, enough chit chit, right Basber!? Here was my GU long this morning which was good for +80 pips, a very nice start to my week, especially as I only traded one day last week and was only +20 for that day. As you can see, ...

ddaytrader replied Aug 3, 2009At the risk of being chit chat ... Congrats to Sonic on reaching page 300 of his thread. Also, I agree with Basber, (yes, again

ddaytrader replied Aug 3, 2009I trade S/R, and use no indicator(s) as a trigger. I would not have the foggiest idea as to how I could automate what is a 100% discretionary approach. The easiest solution will likely be to move to a different dealer.

ddaytrader replied Aug 3, 2009Well, good for you, but the fact that you re-wrote some API code would indicate that you and I trade differently, and I assume you are using MT4 whereas I am using FXCM Trade Station (though I may be wrong about you and MT4). I'm glad it is going ...

ddaytrader replied Aug 3, 2009But this is FXCM convention, and is not typical. Both IB and Infinity will show all orders in an open order screen. I would prefer a consolidated view of all orders. I am sure FXCM is not aware of any problems as this platform will lead to trader ...

ddaytrader replied Aug 3, 2009Hi there snusnu, It looks like Sonic sold when EU broke below the rectangle consolidation area. Rectangles, composed of multiple overlapping waves, are, taken as a whole, themselves a wave. It is not always easy too identify the classic SonicR when ...

ddaytrader replied Aug 3, 2009The platform, in a word, sucks. I said I'd give it a month to see if FXCM will do the right thing, i.e. give back the functionality required and make it more intuitive, e.g. forex.com's "if ... then OCO." I do not know that I have the patience to ...

ddaytrader replied Aug 3, 2009I would check to see if when the daily equity run is printed if the newer position was indeed liquidated. I suspect that FIFO will be applied, and thus the closing trade will be applied to the oldest position when the final accounting is calculated.
