Good entry, got in at 93 and change. Is yours still the first trade from after it came off the mid-80 lows or did you already exit that one?

That's the FX world the past few months in a nutshell. Carry trade/equity markets directly linked to USD weakness. Unfortunately for USD/CAD, it did not benefit nearly as much versus how far the carry pairs fell.

Yes, I brought this up a while back. Some could be using the ask, the bid/ask midpoint, could be spread widening by dealing desks, etc. I have yet to see two different datafeeds give the exact same data to the pip, nor would I expect them to.

Given that his are all exactly 3 pips off from yours, I'd say the problem isn't with his calculator, but with the OHLC data he's using from yesterday. Mine (MT4 auto) are all within a pip of yours. OHLC per FXDD 114.26/116.25/113.85/116.18 OHLC per ...

Oddly enough, the parallels to last February are nearly spot on. A fierce selloff, a retracement rally, a 2nd minor sell-off (yesterday), then a whipsaw recovery (today). Dutch, how did your A/J position trade end up?

InterbankFX is always going to be off. I just fired up their demo to check, they use a 19:00 EST close (and also have Sunday candles..). Your best bet for more accurate data is either the FXDD demo (MT4) or the Accucharts demo.

Dutch, Good run on A/J to 97. Did you get out/re-short before this fall? It's getting hammered vs G/J and E/J.

marketwavez, Do you follow the EW analysis over at dailyfx? They've been bearish on USDCAD for quite some time now. They missed this recent bounce, but to their credit, they were correctly bearish all the way down to the lows in June and bullish ...
