I trade larger sizes, and I've had my fair share of big wins and big stop outs. I'd be happy with 40 pips in any trade, and I wouldn't criticize any trader for only making 40 pips a trade.

Oh? Why not just do that all the time if it's so easy? Make 40 pips a day starting with 5 lots and compound your order size with each trade, you'll be a multi-millionaire by year end.

Technically that triangle was already broken to the downside today. Your lower trendline should be using the Aug-29th low as the second touch, not today's low.

T888, Glad to see you're back. I agree with you on the short-lived nature of certain threads/strategies and the under-assessment of risk. Risk analysis and proper backtesting appear to be afterthoughts when any method sees short term gain. I'm a ...

Since you're trading a support-test in a downtrend, I'd lower the SL to a point just below the S1. Yes, it did retrace off S1, but if you look at yesterday for example, similar situation - however price broke the daily, S1, and S2 in one fell swoop. ...

110 would mean A/U levels also above their highs of 8870 (reasonable) and U/J levels back to +120 (or comparable levels in the carry pairs). We have a long way to go with A/J still below the 50 fib, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

No problem. It should also be noted that the 38.2 fib off the 124-111 move is 116.38 (within a few pips of the monthly pivot). So the market has both to deal with if it wants to head higher. It may continue to be a safe shorting zone until it builds ...

MBT/EFX's swap rates are deplorable, as outlined in my post here. Also, their commissions of $5 per $100k are really high (IB is only $2 per $100k). I'm not sure about Hotspot's retail commissions or swaps, but their spreads are decent (1-3pip on ...

jacko, After that last trade, was there a reason for not entering another buy stop at 1.3629 after it retraced? In doing so, that would've gotten you back in and subsequently raised your trailing stop to 1.3369 when the market hit the high of ...
